This book is like an encyclopedia, but for Animal Awareness Days.

The chapters are organized by month. A calendar is provided at the start of each chapter, showing a quick view of which animals are celebrated. 

The start of the book begins with an introduction and information on the following:

- Conservation status and why conservation status matters 

- What causes animals to become at risk, and how we can help to protect wild animals  

- What steps kids can take to help wild animals 

Each month is a chapter, and within these pages, you will learn which animals are celebrated in order by date. On these pages, you will learn:

- The name of the awareness day

- The taxonomy table for the featured animal

- The purpose of the day

- Where it's celebrated and why it's celebrated

- 5 wild facts

A Fun Corner is included for each animal!

After the conclusion, I have added extra sections:

- An extra fun corner that encourages kids to become species-spotting superstars! 

- And a final thought, from my heart

And finally, at the very end of the book are the appendices:
